About

endED recognises the need for a holistic and personalised approach in the various stages of recovery. Our LivED Experience Counsellors are accredited counsellors who have lived experience with eating disorders and mental health. They are there to complement your existing multidisciplinary team, offering support across and between your daily needs.

Our Counsellors will walk this journey along-side you compassionately, bringing a focus to the here and now, and help you find a way to strengthen your connection between mind, body and spirit.

8-Week Recovery Support Program

The 8 Week Recovery Support Program is non-directive and person-centred. The support includes weekly 1:1 hourly sessions, facilitating personal goals, and co-creating positive coping strategies. This offering will be fluid and regularly reassessed with you. Most importantly, this relationship will be co-constructed to empower you connect with and strengthen your ‘healthy self.’

Weekly Group Counselling

Our LivED Experience Counsellors also offer weekly group sessions. The sessions are virtural and open to anyone across Australia, as well as individuals engaged in our 8 Week Recovery Support Program. Our weekly group sessions will cover topics focused on recovery, positive coping strategies, and suggestions from our group participants. This offering provides a safe & supportive environment to connect with others on the recovery journey.

Each week, two groups are held via zoom;

Tuesday's at 3pm-4pm and Thursday's at 9.30am-10.30am [AEST].

Both sessions in the week, will cover the same focus topic. Individuals can choose to attend one or both of these sessions.

Carer & Loved One Counselling

Our LivED Experience Counsellors also offer support for carers and loved ones of individuals experiencing disordered eating, eating disorders, or body image concerns. Counselling for carers and loved ones may involve supporting you as a 'person', helping you reconnect with who you are outside of caring for your loved one, and cultivating self-care and emotional regulation. We can also provide lived experience insights and evidence-informed information on eating disorders and recovery (for example, appropriate language to use with your loved one).

Please reach out if you would like to know more about any of these offerings

Georgie Birch

"Promise me you'll always remember... you're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you know."
~ Christopher Robin to Winnie the Pooh

I come to this role with lived experience of my own eating disorder, as well as having cared for a family member through their own recovery. This enables me to relate to your personal journey, whilst also acknowledging that our experiences are unique. I will support you to identify your own strengths and reflect on your progress whilst we navigate your recovery goals together.

Each day we meet and honour the land in which we gather. Here on the land of the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara Peoples. We would like to acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters and culture and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We pledge our ongoing solidarity with the traditional owners and all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, in their struggle for recognition of sovereignty, historical truths and justice.
